My thighs are growing at a rapid pace - I've realized I need to chill with the bread and butter haha. When I'm working away from home I don't have time to make/eat this much so.. need to be careful ! Found this whole wheat tortilla recipe that came out so bomb. You'll need:
2 cups whole wheat flour
3 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 - 1 cup warm water
optional: 1/2 tablespoon ancho chili powder (or anything you want - garlic, onion powder.. i like to add a lil extra spice for flavor. mo flava mo betta imo !)
What I used
Mix dry ingredients first, then add olive oil - then water slowly until dough comes together. You want it sticky but not too sticky. Enough to handle easily by hand.
Knead for 2 minutes, then cover with a towel for 20 min. Dat my mickey mouse dough towel
After 20 minutes, put a pan on the stove on medium - md high heat. Divide dough into 8 pieces. Keep the other pieces covered with the towel as you roll each out. Then roll out as thin as possible
Heat each side on stove for about 30-60 seconds a side.
When they're done I cover them with a towel until they're cooled down & put them in a ziploc bag in the fridge. You can do that or just eat em up right away : )
